How to Play Call of Duty 4 Online

COD4 is the short term for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It's a 1st person shooting game published and owned by Activision. There are many ways to play COD online using different gaming networks like Xfire, Hamachi, Garena etc.

But most common way is using Xfire. It automatically keeps track of when and where gamers are playing PC games online and lets their friends join them easily. Xfire has its own instant messaging, server browsing, peer-to-peer file downloading, in-game messaging, screen-shot and video capturing facilities.


For Starters, follow these steps to play COD4 Multi Player .

1) Install COD (Make sure to install PunkBuster provided within the COD setup.)

2) Download & Install Xfire.

3) Create an account in Xfire.

4) Then Download & install Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 1.6 Patch.

5) Again Download & install Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 1.6 - 1.7 Patch.

6) Start the game and go to OPTIONS -> MULTI PLAYER OPTIONS -> ENTER KEY CODE
enter DL2J-8PY4-4Q22-GE48-88D2 or EGGS-DTD8-EUGJ-DLDT-2F53 and hit VERIFY .

7) After creating an account use your user name and password to log in to Xfire.

8) Now you should Download & install PBSetup.

9) After installing PBSetup run it & Press Add a Game and select Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare then press Check for Updates.

10) Finally you are ready to play the Game.
